I contacted Irene Birt in the middle of a exhausting home renovation project, I was a bit nervous about choosing the right colours and furnishings for our home. Irene has the ability to meet people easily, have a chat with them and reeeeeally listen. She has an ear for all the nuances that are happening in a relationship, with a family, between people that have different tastes and ideas and she lets you talk and talk. Marvellous! Then, within a short space of time she gets into your head, your heart, your dreams and your budget.
Irene is non judgemental and has no trouble fitting into a very tight budget or an open ended one. She just has the knack for making a space cosy, classy, warm and welcoming. I think she should redesign all our city buildings as well.

We had purchased 50 pottles of sample paint in an attempt to select the paint, to paint the interior of our house. We had painted the walls, door frames, skirting boards and even the ceiling and still couldn’t make up our minds. We knew what we wanted but couldn’t put it together. That’s when Irene walked in and an hour and a half later it was all sorted. The colour combinations are amazing. Everyone who walks into our home goes ‘wow’ that’s gorgeous.It was so easy and affordable!
It didn’t stop there either; Irene helped us to completely redecorate the rest of our home. Drapes, furniture, carpet, ensuite, art work, mirrors, kitchen, outside too. The colours flow, indoor/outdoor, truly amazing.
It’s modern, chic and really cool. When we come to sell we will not have to alter or touch up anything its ‘perfectly’ gorgeous. Irene is the best, she is amazing.
PS : We are about to embark on our dream/retirement home at the beach, and have enlisted Irene's guidance from the design stage, to look over architects drawings, through to sourcing final finishes and materials. We are tremendously excited, as it will be gorgeous and stunningly beautiful. -
This year I decided to modernize the four bedrooms in our home. Not having any interior design experience I made enquiries with friends and family and was overwhelmingly recommended to Irene at Gorgeous Homes.
Irene was very professional and I soon came to realize while talking to her that she was extremely experienced and was fourth coming with many great ideas that I found hard to visualize.
However, going along with her recommendation I can say that the final result was remarkable and I am extremely pleased that I took her advice. For anyone considering using an interior designer Irene of Gorgeous Homes must be on top of your list. Many thanks Irene.

Irene helped us with our inertia colour scheme on our first build. Not only did she quickly recognise our preferences, but she made the process really simple and brought together colours and furnishings with ease.
Irene’s eye for detail, showed through with wonderful finishing’s like curtain tailoring and bold colours blending in perfectly.
Her affiliates in the industry made it easy for us to look at kitchen concepts, curtain/furnishing fabrics and great treasure shops with the perfect pieces to compliment our home decor. This saved us so much time, and eased the pressure of building.
Not only have we ended up with a truly beautiful interior, but we completed our build within budget, and are very satisfied. We would recommend Irene without hesitation, and would definately use Irene again on our next build.
